Performances
Real Performers. Real Stages. Real Growth.
The Value of Performance
At Praxis, performance is not viewed as an occasional showcase or the final destination of learning. It forms an important part of the developmental process and provides learners with opportunities to apply, strengthen, and demonstrate the skills they develop through structured training.
Preparing for a performance encourages learners to work with purpose, respond to feedback, refine their abilities, and experience the satisfaction of presenting something they have developed through consistent effort. It is often through these experiences that learners begin to recognise what they are capable of achieving and develop greater confidence in their own abilities.

Internal Performance Assessments
Internal performance assessments form an important component of the Praxis developmental model and provide learners with regular opportunities to demonstrate their progress.

These assessments are designed to:
• Monitor learner development
• Encourage purposeful preparation
• Reinforce performance discipline
• Provide constructive feedback
• Prepare learners for future performance opportunities

Internal assessments allow learners to experience the process of preparing for a performance event while receiving guidance and support throughout the process. Rather than being viewed as high-pressure examinations, they are intended to help learners recognise their own growth, become increasingly comfortable presenting work before others, and experience success through preparation and practice.

Participation in internal assessments forms an expected component of the Praxis training approach.
External Examinations, Festivals & Eisteddfods
Praxis seeks to prepare learners not only for classroom performance experiences, but also for opportunities beyond the Academy where appropriate.

Learners may be introduced to recognised external examinations, festivals, Eisteddfods, and other adjudicated performance opportunities that provide valuable developmental experiences and exposure to broader performance environments.

Participation in external opportunities is optional and may be recommended when a learner demonstrates sufficient readiness and is likely to benefit from additional performance experience.

These opportunities allow learners to:
• Perform before independent adjudicators
• Receive professional external feedback
• Experience performing in unfamiliar venues
• Measure their progress against recognised standards
• Strengthen confidence through authentic performance experiences

Where suitable opportunities arise, parents will receive information regarding participation requirements, timelines, entry procedures, and any associated costs.
Internal Events
A chance to showcase your progress, celebrate your hard work and shine on stage. Internal assessments are a highlight of our training journey and an oppertunity for every student to be proud, be confident and be seen!

Individual Coaching
Individual coaching is available as an additional service for learners who may benefit from more focused support.

Coaching sessions may be used to:
• Prepare for examinations, festivals, or competitions
• Refine specific performance skills
• Receive targeted feedback
• Maintain continuity during school holiday periods
• Extend learning beyond the group training environment

Individual coaching provides learners with opportunities to work closely with an instructor while continuing to develop confidence through guided practice, meaningful challenge, and measurable progress.

As coaching sessions are tailored to the individual needs of each learner, availability and suitability are determined at the Academy's discretion.
Parents who would like to discuss individual coaching are invited to submit an enquiry below. Please provide a brief description of your child's needs, goals, or the support you are seeking, and the Academy will respond regarding availability and suitable options.
