Welcome to Praxis Dramatic Arts Academy. We create a structured environment where learners are supported to grow in competence, confidence, communication, and performance through guided dramatic arts training.

Our website is used as a central information hub where important updates may be posted, including announcements, advertising, and schedule changes. Communication
Attendance
Consistent attendance is essential for steady progress. Practical performance skills develop through repetition, rehearsal, and structured feedback.

Our studio doors are closed once class begins to ensure sessions run without disruption and to maintain a focused learning environment for all learners.

If a learner is going to be late or unable to attend, please notify us as early as possible. This allows us to plan accordingly, begin class on time, and ensure we can open access without interrupting ongoing work or leaving doors unattended during teaching.This process also helps us accurately account for all learners present for safety and communication purposes.
School Holidays
Our programme generally follows the South African school calendar.Group classes are not usually held during official school holidays or on public holidays, unless otherwise specified.
Our holiday programme is flexible. From time to time, selected individual coaching or workshop opportunities may be offered during certain holiday periods, depending on demand and scheduling. Families will be informed in advance should these become available.
Performance Opportunities
Throughout the year, learners may take part in:
•Internal Performance Assessments
•Internally facilitated External Adjudication opportunities
•External Examinations and Competitions (e.g. Eisteddfods)
•Showcase Performances
•Other developmental performance events
Participation in external events is open to all learners and is entirely optional. These opportunities are offered as an extension of training and are strongly encouraged, as they provide valuable real-world performance experience and growth.If a learner wishes to participate, registration is facilitated through the Academy. All external event fees are paid by families. While all learners may apply, the Academy may offer guidance regarding readiness to ensure that each learner enters events where they can have a constructive and positive experience. Final participation decisions remain with parents.
Individual Coaching
One-on-one coaching may be available for learners who require additional support or wish to prepare for examinations, festivals, auditions, or other performance opportunities.
Sessions are offered strictly subject to availability and suitability, as they depend on tutor capacity and scheduling.Different fees apply for individual coaching.
